The past weeks of this project were amazing but the stress starting setting in when the Ted Talk was drawing near. For a little more than a week before my Ted Talk i was practices my script over and over. Playing my song on the amp and making sure everything was perfect. I made sure that I talked slow and have ways to remember to talk slow. I practiced in from of my family and even recorded myself to see what I had to work on. I felt so ready and wasn't sacred because talking in front of others isn't a bug fear of mine.
The day before my presentation (Tuesday) and was checking in with Mr. McDaniels and Mr. Perlman to see where i could drop off my guitar and amp and when. They let me know everything then a minute later they called me up and said that I was today. I was so shocked and confused. I didn't know what to say and all I could say was I thought I was Wednesday. I didn't know what to do. I was so certain I was Wednesday but I had messed up. I was prepared and could have gone Tuesday but didn't have my guitar so there was no way I could. I was so upset and mad at myself for forgetting somethings so important. I was on the verge of tears. I also thought my dad would be so mad so when I told him. He actually turned out to be very understanding, thankfully
The next day I was very nervous to present because points were going to be taken off because I missed my day and they had to try and fit me in so I had limited time. To add on to this all when i finally set up my music wouldn't play. I was so nervous that it wouldn't play my leg was shaking so much that I couldn't stop it. I had no idea what I was going to do. Thank god my sister is in my class because she gave me her phone and I was able to play the music from there. I was able to play the music no problem but i was still so nervous. When I started talking I was so nervous I totally forgot to talk slow and the presentation was over so fast. I knew right when I finished I had talked to fast but there was nothing I could do then.
I was really upset of how everything about and in the Ted Talk went but the past is the past and overall I really enjoyed the project. It was great to be able to choice a topic that we were interested in and spend 6 weeks learning it.
